Avé is a figurative artist in love with beauty in all its forms. Brought up with a reverence for Art, through the influence of her Dutch Ancestors who were painters in the tradition of the Old Masters, and the stories of her late father, she studied and completed her BFA at Grand Valley University.

She has been working from the live model for four decades studying the figure and using it as the vehicle of expression. Her recent work is emotionally charged, using poses to make a statement. Reflection and her inner work have been the inspiration of these pieces and has opened a door to hope.
